E Mare Libertas

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

E Mare Libertas is a Latin term that translates to From the Sea, Freedom. This phrase was used in various manners by Sealand, a micronation off the coast of the United Kingdom. Two official uses of E Mare Libertas is the motto that appears on Sealandic items, such as stamps, passports, coins, the national flag and coat of arms, and is also as the title to the Sealandic anthem.

[edit] Anthem

The E Mare Libertas anthem was composed by London composer Basil Simonenko, but it was not known when it was officially adopted by Sealand. The anthem also does not have lyrics.
