E. C. Pielou

Evelyn C. Pielou (born February 20, 1924) is a statistical ecologist and was a former professor of mathematical ecology and Killam Professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Pielou contributed significantly to the development of mathematical ecology, and the mathematical modeling of natural systems.
