Dzyarzhynskaya Hara

Dzyarzhynskaya Hara (Belarusian Гара Дзяржынская) is the highest point in Belarus. The hill is 345 meters (1130 ft) above sea level and is located west of Minsk, near Dzyarzhynsk, in the village Skirmuntava. The hill was named after Felix Dzerzhinsky, the founder of the NKVD/KGB, who is still celebrated as a national hero in Belarus.
