Template talk:Dynamic navigation box with image
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have tweaked MediaWiki:Monobook.js to make the default for this template to be hidden. If anyone objects let me know and I'll change it back. Worldtraveller 15:59, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- It is just me, or does this template not work very well with the classic skin? -- ALoan (Talk) 11:19, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

- No, it's not just you - I think the problem may be that the relevant code is still only in the monobook.js and monobook.cs files. I'll see about moving it to common.css so that it works for all skins. But the classic skin looks horrible anyway so I'd suggest using something more aesthetic in any case :) Worldtraveller 11:34, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

- I had to update the template for Cologne Blue to make it work. BTW the hide/show works only in Monobook (there is no file similar to MediaWiki:Monobook.js available for other skins). -- User:Docu
- Is there any way to set this on a per-template basis? — Reinyday, 17:15, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image broken
The header overlays the image in these templates. Is this an issue of this template or of Monobook? Kusma (討論) 15:51, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- The root problem is in MediaWiki:Monobook.css. The 'NavHead' class is defined there as 'position: relative', while the image and other elements default to 'position: static'. On the other language versions of the NavHead class this 'position: relative' line is not included. I'm not sure why it is used here so I adjusted just this template to get around it by adding a 'position: relative' style to NavPic as well and setting it's z-index (order of what gets displayed first in overlaps) higher. --CBD 12:38, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
