Dylan MacNamara

Dylan MacNamara, (born in 1985) in Miami, FLA, is an American Football wide receiver for Bates College in Lewiston, ME. After spending his formative years in San Francisco, CA, MacNamara attended Northfield Mount Hermon School in Northfield, MA. There, MacNamara was a three-year Varsity Letterman, as well as captaining the football team as a senior. MacNamara played wide receiver opposite current University of Florida wide receiver, Dallas Baker.

A three year starter at Bates, MacNamara led the team in catches and receiving yards his junior and senior seasons. MacNamara headed the Bobcats aerial attack along with quarterback Brandon Colόn. In 2005, as a junior, MacNamara caught 44 passes for 511 yards and 5 touchdowns. His best performances came against Wesleyan University, in which he caught 7 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns, and against Bowdoin College, in which he caught a career high 11 passes for 110 yards. In his senior campaign, MacNamara had a standout performance against Bowdoin College when he caught 10 passes for 133 yards, a career high. MacNamara finished the season ranked number 24 nationally in catches per game. MacNamara ended his collegiate career with 127 catches, 1333 yards, and 7 touchdowns. MacNamara is graduating from Bates College in May, 2007, with a B.A. in Anthropology.

2005 2nd Team All-NESCAC. Won the Garnet Gridder Award, as Bates College's Offensive MVP.

2006 2nd Team All-NESCAC. Won the Robert P. Schmidt Award.
