[edit] Personal history

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Dylan is a member of the cast of the show-within-a-show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He is not a member of the so-called "Big Three," but is recognized as a good character actor. He has been offered larger roles in the show, notably at the desk of News 60 when Simon Stiles was in Pahrump, Nevada, but he turned it down, saying that his place was in the smaller roles. He has a would-be flirtatious relationship with Jeannie Whatley, one which seems to indicate more about his feelings for her than her feelings for him.

One of his more notable moments was seen during the episode B-12, when he fainted from a virus that was going through the cast while dressed in women's clothing, an occurrence which Harriet Hayes teased him that they would not let him forget any time soon. He also had a fairly large part in The Friday Night Slaughter, where he and Tom Jeter successfully lobbied for the Metric Conversion sketch to be in the show.
