Dyer Observatory is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Vanderbilt University. Built in 1953, it is located in Brentwood, Tennessee. It was named after Mr. Arthur J. Dyer, an owner of Nashville Bridge Company, who paid for the dome, who with Dr. Carl Seyfert, a Vanderbilt University astronomy professor, built the observatory.
