Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School was opened in 1972 on Big Bend Road in Gibsonton, Florida. The facility was originally built in 1957 as East Bay High School.

The school is named in honor of President Dwight Eisenhower.

The school colors are red, white and blue.

The school mascot is the General.
