DWBC-TV, channel 68, is a pay TV UHF station of Philippine owned by Byers Communication, Inc..

[edit] History

On October, 1992, it started initial broadcasts from Antipolo City with a sampling of its American-based programming,(mostly infotainment shows and talk programs) which were at the time not seen anywhere on local television, but are considered US cable programming staples.

It was the first UHF station to introduce subscription TV, wherein viewers pay a monthly fee to unscramble its signals. The main attraction for its service at the time is the flexibility of the viewer to set up the decoder and the accompanying outdoor antenna used to receive the signal. At that time, cable television was just making a revival in a big way through Sky Cable.

Regular encrypted TV service of Channel 68 started in January of 2003. However, 6 months after, it folded up due to intense competition from cable. The station is currently inactive.
