Dwayne Hay

Dwayne Hay (born February 11, 1977 in London, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey player.

Originally selected by the Washington Capitals in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, Hay played two games with the Capitals before he was traded to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Esa Tikkanen in what turned out to be their run to the finals in 1998. Hay also played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames.

He has also played many season in the Minor Leagues. These include the American Hockey League, the ECHL, and the Central Hockey League. He is currently under contract for his second career stint with the Pensacola Ice Pilots of the ECHL. Hay explained that he signed with Rio Grande Valley due to being heartbroken at the departure of best friend and Ice Pilots front office executive Bob Maynard. Now that he has recovered, Hay states that he can focus and play winning hockey once again for the Ice Pilots.

Dwayne also has many cousins which include hockey players Jake Hay, Matthew Hay, Kenneth Hay and many more and a very special cousin who plays Ringette named Jenna Hay. He is not related to former Calgary Flames and current Vancouver Giants head coach Don Hay.
