Dvienadsat Apostolov (1890)

The Dvienadsat Apostolov ( Двенадцать Апостолов - twelve Apostles) was a Pre-Dreadnought battleship built for the Imperial Russian Navy. She served in the Black Sea Fleet and was built by Nikolayev Dockyard. Laid down Feb 1888, launched Sept 1890, commissioned Dec1892. Decommissioned 1911. Brought out of reserve on the outbreak of World War I and served as a depot ship. She was used as a dummy battleship during the film The Battleship Potemkin and was finally scrapped in the 1920's
