Duval High School, a governmentally funded higher school education facility located in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia was founded in 1974. It has a current enrolment of apx. 800 male and female students, from Year 7 to Year 12. It has adopted a school motto of 'Learning to Live'.

Stockman John Duval, a farmer from Staffordshire, England was sentenced to death in 1825 following the break and enter of a property. As a result, he was sentenced to transportation to New South Wales. He worked for Captain William Dumaresq and guided squatters to the North.

Duval High School is recognised for producing above average Higher School Certificate[citation needed]. The following statistics are from the NSW Board of Studies.

- 27 of 114 students appeared on the State Merit List (for scoring over 90 in a subject)
- 42 times Duval High School students appear on the Merit List
- 61 of 114 students gained 80 or above in a subject.
- Of the 38 courses examined at Duval High School, 30 were consistent with or above State average.

Duval High School is also recognised for the talent and diversity of students in the Arts fields, particularly the performing arts[citation needed]. The school is renowned for its bold approach to theatre, presenting a wide variety of plays from varying contexts and in different theatrical styles.
Recent productions have included:
- Under Milkwood, a play by Dylan Thomas,
- The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
- Love Actually...Not (a student directed Cabaret)
- The Visit by Durrenmatt.

Duval High School has also been recognised for its high achievements in sporting. Many ackowledgable achievements including; State Final, 2006, girls' soccer; State Final victory, 2004, field hockey; State Finals, Futsal, 2004; State Finals, table tennis, 2004.
