Talk:Dutch apple pie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I looked around the apple pie with the crumbs on tope instead of the pastry layer is a PENNSYLVANIA Dutch Pie.
Is there any point to this article? Surely it should be merged into Apple pie. Chamaeleon 15:59, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- merge sounds reasonable to me but we need to answer the question below about what makes it Dutch before we do that. I'll hang the merge tag. RJFJR 18:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
What makes an apple pie a Dutch apple pie? Are we sure a Dutch apple pie has a patry top? I found a bunch of recipes that call for a kind of crumble of sugar, lour and butter on top rather than a patry lyer or patry lattice. RJFJR 18:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
