Talk:Dutch apple pie

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I looked around the apple pie with the crumbs on tope instead of the pastry layer is a PENNSYLVANIA Dutch Pie.

Is there any point to this article? Surely it should be merged into Apple pie. Chamaeleon 15:59, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

merge sounds reasonable to me but we need to answer the question below about what makes it Dutch before we do that. I'll hang the merge tag. RJFJR 18:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

What makes an apple pie a Dutch apple pie? Are we sure a Dutch apple pie has a patry top? I found a bunch of recipes that call for a kind of crumble of sugar, lour and butter on top rather than a patry lyer or patry lattice. RJFJR 18:46, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
