Dutchtown High School

Dutchtown High School was built in 2002 in Geismar, Louisiana. It is administered under the Ascension Parish School Board. The current principal is David Alexander. The school mascot is the Griffin and the school colors are purple, grey, and black. A previous Dutchtown High School existed near the new high school at what is now Dutchtown Middle School. It was closed when the high schools on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Ascension Parish were consolidated into one high school, East Ascension High School.
The band is called the Dutchtown Sound, and is under the direction of Mrs. Sheiley Bell and Mr. David Holland
