"Minha filosofia de vida é Capoeira."

[edit] Introduction

I'm an English teacher for a Texas high school based in San Antonio, Texas. My work consists of teaching kids how to properly use language in class and writing.

Mago is my Capoeira nickname given to me by Instrutor Caragueijo when I was studying in San Antonio. I train with Ile Bahia de San Antonio, under Mestre Jelon Vieira's headmastership.

[edit] Personal

My passion has always been for the art of fighting and the art of communication. I spent many a year studying Tae Kwon Do at a McDojo, Judo at the USJA in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Society for Creative Anachronism heavy combat. I'm also an avid student of Capoeira and train with the Ile Bahia de San Antonio in San Antonio. I am also a published author of literary criticism, with papers on various subjects published throughout the Internet as well as in journals.

I'm happily married since 22 June 2004. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio in Texas. I've lived in San Antonio for over 13 years and have a home there. I have 3 children, two daughters involved in Capoeira and one infant son.

I also enjoy inline skating, reading, playing computer games and photography in my spare time.
