Dusty Miller

Joan 'Dusty' Miller was a Canadian politician who served as the first woman mayor of Thunder Bay, Ontario from 1979 until the end of 1980 when she was defeated. Miller was married to Lakehead University history professor Tom Miller. Prior to her political activity, she was active in amateur theatre.

Dusty Miller is the name for a type of sundae. It is made by pouring chocolate syrup over vanilla or chocolate ice cream, then sprinkled with a fine layer of malted milk.
Dusty Miller is the common name given to several different types of plants with gray foliage: Senecio cineraria, Centaurea cineraria, and Lychnis coronaria.
