Durrell, Newfoundland and Labrador

Durrell is a town on the southern island of Twillingate, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. To reach the town, you must turn right on Route 340 to enter Main Street. The town of Durrell, like many other towns on the island is delightfully scenic and is a quiet area.

[edit] Living In Durrell
Durrell is a beautiful town that is safe for kids to go around either walking or ride bike without worrying about any threats. It has one department store, which has groceries and hardware and other stores are found in the nearby main town of Twillingate.
[edit] Getting to Durrell
If you are coming from Grand Falls-Windsor, or Western Newfoundland, the quickest way into town is to take route 340 to Lewisporte and then continue on the "Road To The Isles" until you reach the town. If you are coming from Gander, or Eastern Newfoundland you can take one of the exits into the town of Gander and follow your way to the "Road To The Shore", there are many exits, but the easiest would be the first one, which is Cooper Boulevard. Follow down there, and turn left for "Road To The Isles".
There are signs every step of the way and once you reach Boyd's Cove / Harbour, it's all straight-going from there.

Durrell does not have its own festival, but the town does enjoy the festival that is held in Twillingate named "The Fish Fun & Folk Festival".

Durrell residents go to school at either Twillingate Elementary or J.M. Olds Collegiate in the town of Twillingate, which is only about five minutes away.
