Durham Regional Highway 2

Durham Regional Highway 2 was the first controlled access route in Ontario. It starts in Toronto, where it is known as Kingston Road, and continues east through Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa and Clarington after which the respective municipalities have given this road a number of differing names.

Many people confuse Durham Regional Highway 2 with Durham Regional Road 2. Durham Regional Highway 2 is formerly Ontario King's Highway 2. On the other hand, Durham Regional Road 2 is found in Oshawa, Ontario, and is locally referred to as Simcoe Street.
