Dupchanchia is located at 24.8750° N 89.1694° E . It has 29153 units of house hold and total area 162.45 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^GRBangladeh, Dupchanchia has a population of 149112. Males constitute are 50.77% of the population, and females 49.23%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 76561. Dupchanchia has an average literacy rate of 29.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[1]
