[edit] Limiting to PHB Classes

I propose that the Base Class section be limited to only classes from the PHB, and the prestige classes limited to DMG classes. There are a number of other base classes with pages, but to put them all on the template would make it very unweildly. Warmage and warlock in particular should be removed, as well as the psionic classes (psion, psychic warrior, wilder). Soulknife is in the prestige class section, even though it is a base class in 3.5. If it is not removed, it should be moved to the base class section. -AndyBQ 12:11, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

The community appears to have gone the other way and is currently including all of the available base classes in the template. I've added the three newest ones from Tome of Battle. Soulknife appears to have long since been corrected as well. The template is now fully v3.5 accurate. --Laxrulz777 17:35, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Changing the template

1. get rid of the red links.

The template can't possible contain all D&D classes, just look at the huge long list here.

So the template claerly doesn't have every D&D class in existence, and many of the red links are not linked to from anywhere either (For example, once i removed spellcaster from this template, there was nothing in the "what links here" for spellcaster).

2. turn the verticle template into a horizontal one to put at the botton of pages. The length (vertically) of this template is rediculas. There is not one article on the template that is longer than the actual template (and that includes the core classes). Articles like Wilder (Dungeons & Dragons) end up with a template many many times longer than the actual article.

If there's no objections to the first, i'm going to go and purge the red links.

With the second, someone who knows how to write templates will have to do it. --`/aksha 02:24, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Why is Soulknife on the prestige class list?

Samurai and Ninja were once prestige classes too, but you don't see them on the PrC list. Soul knife has the right to be on the Alternate Base Class list as much as they do. Starman IX 19:03, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

uhh...because they're on the List of Prestige Classes? I guess if they're both, then alternate base classes is probably better. --`/aksha 11:49, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About the Sha'ir

Dragon magazine is supported by WotC, but it's really third party, as it is made by Paizo. Are we gonna have to list all of the third party junk too? Starman IX 13:00, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Paizo's Dragon material is sanctioned as "official" by WotC. So perhaps we can just identify the lists as lists of official junk. -- JHunterJ 13:16, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
