Dunmore (Shellharbour) is a CityRail railway station on the South Coast railway line. It serves the town of Dunmore as well as being an indirect rail link to Shellharbour. When the station was built, Shellharbour was a long way from the railway line, but has since grown and now borders the line. A new station (Flinders) has been proposed by the Government to serve the growing area, but nothing has eventuated on this.
The station has 2 side platforms, which split into 2 lines before the station, and back into one after the station. It is often used as a station for trains of the opposing direction to cross each other.
One of the side platforms can accommodate 4 V-Set carriages, the other only 2 V-Set Carriages.
