Duke de Guiche is a fictional character in the Anime "The Rose of Versailles."
Greatly implied to be a paedophile, he was originally the man who had become engaged to Madame de Polignac's youngest daughter Charlotte, but Charlotte commits suicide by jumping off a Palace of Versailles' tower.
Later, Madame de Polignac tries to engage her other daughter Rosalie to him. Polignac convices Rosalie arguing that she'd tell the authorities that Rosalie was Lady Oscar's protegee.
Finally, Rosalie manages to escape from the Polignac household and return to Paris, right after knowing her mother's true intentions.
