Duke Tumatoe

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bill Fiorio, (born 1947) aka Duke Tumatoe was one of the original members of the band REO Speedwagon [1], and has developed a legendary presence as an blues performer and entertainer in the Midwest. His songs are a mix of comedy and pure blues. He is perhaps best known for his regular performances on The Bob & Tom Show. Perhaps his best-known pieces on "Bob and Tom" are the weekly "NFL Song", airing nationally, and "Lord Help Our Colts", which airs locally in Indiana after the end of the national program. These pieces often focus on the previous week's games, as well as the upcoming week's games.

Duke Tumatoe was often a featured guest on the Reggie Miller Show and the Jim Harbaugh Show, which aired weekly on WTHR in Indianapolis, Indiana in the mid 1990's. This introduced him to many younger fans, whom were unable to hear him on the more risque Bob & Tom Show.

Duke Tumatoe tours extensively throughout the Midwest with his band as Duke Tumatoe and the Power Trio.
