Ducru-Beaucaillou

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ducru-Beaucaillou is a vineyard and winery located in the south-west of France. It gets its name from the beautiful pebbles everywhere on its vineyards. The vineyard lies on an exceptional Médoc site in the commune of Saint-Julien on the western bank of the Gironde, typical of the most prestigious classified growths, dominating the estuary from Margaux in the south to Saint Estèphe in the north.

On this 188 acres estate, 3 wines are produced: a Premier Grand Vin Château Ducru-Beaucaillou (was ranked second in the 1855 classification), a second label La Croix de Beaucaillou and as well as an independent vineyard located on the western side of St Julien commune Château Lalande-Borie
