Dubuque1907ArtistConception.jpg (228 × 235 pixel, file size: 43 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

This is a portrait of Julien Dubuque. It is from a work that Charles L. Trudell created as his conception of Julien Dubuque in 1907. This is the popular image of Dubuque that many people hold, however historians believe that it would probably be unlikely that he would have worn a raccoon hat and buckskin shirt.
