This is a photo of downtown Dubuque, Iowa during the 1965 floods. Before the construction of a flood wall, Dubuque had suffered several disastrous floods over the years. The 1965 flood was one of the worst, and it provided the impetus to build the floodwall. This photo was taken by my Grandmother in 1965.
