Dubtitled

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"DUBTITLED" is an influential entertainment company founded by ( Michael ) Mic Neumann in 1999 that is most prominently known for their unique style of dubbing voice overs, editing, and creating the international television series, "Kung Faux", in addition to work on popular video games, films, commercials, and music videos with top international artists from around the world.[1].

The "DUBTITLED" Entertainment website [2] logo is the inspiration for the logo design of the mega music group known as The Killers [3] after members from both camps shared rental space together in New York City during the year that the band were first being signed and beginning to develop, with the help of record industry maverick Martin Heath , their new more refined overall band image that is known today.

"DUBTITLED" has also since become a word used in the fan based lexicon of primarily Asian entertainment product like Chinese kung fu films and Japanese "Anime" to describe a video with subtitles based on the dub translation instead of a translation of the original material.

Typically, "DUBTITLED" videos are translated more loosely than subtitled videos due to the requirement that the new audio track match up with the actor's native language dialog and mouth movements. Thus, a dubtitled movie or tv series usually contains a much more liberal dialog translation than a traditional subtitled movie translation.

"DUBTITLED" Entertainment is known for taking this idea of more liberal translations to the extreme while also working with some of the best award winning music artists in the world.

The "DUBTITLED" name as a word is a result of the fusion of the two words "DUB" and "SUBTITLED", which are two words that are referenced prominently when referring to international video product for film and televsision.
