Dubossary HPS reservoir

The Dubossary HPS reservoir is the largest reservoir of Transnistria. It is located on the Dniester river between the city of Dubăsari (Russian: Dubossary) and the town of Camenca (Russian: Kamenka).

According to the Atlas of Pridnestrovie, the construction of the dam of the Dubossary HPS resulted in the formation of reservoir, which was put into operation in 1954. The reservoir is 128 km long and has an average width of 528 meters. Water surface area is equal to 67.5 square kilometers.

The Dubossary HPS reservoir is home to the Dubossary hydro power plant which generates electrical energy for both domestic use and export.
