Dubai Silicon Oasis

Dubai Silicon Oasis is a technology park under development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which was launched in October, 2002 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister, & ruler of Dubai, aiming to become a world centre for electronic innovation, research, and development. The project's establishment was decreed by the former ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum in September 2004[1], and is due for completion by April, 2007. The project is to span over 7.2 million squre meters and has entered phase one of the construction which includes the construction of 560 residential villas[2].
DSOA is a 7.2 sq km master–planned community, located on Dubai’s Emirates Road and within easy access of Dubai International Airport, Jebel Ali Port and Dubai’s central business district.
Comprising office towers, R&D and industrial zones, educational institutions, apartments and villas, hotels, healthcare and an range of lifestyle facilities, DSO provides a dynamic commercial and social environment.
