DS Audible

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

DS Audible (official name DS Audible, LLC) is a broadcasting holding company which is owned and/or affiliated by a consortium of investment firms; the key firms in terms of affiliations include Canyon Capital Advisors, D.B. Zwirn & Co., Fortress Investment Group and Ramius Capital Group. DS Audible was formed in 2006 initially in part to help Granite Broadcasting sell two to-be-former affiliates of The WB in San Francisco, California and Detroit, Michigan to help the company in the throes of financial troubles.

On July 18, 2006, Granite announced that the sale of these stations to DS Audible were cancelled, as the sale wasn't closed by the deadline of June 30, 2006; Granite has announced they intend on keeping WMYD, while they try to find another company willing to buy KBWB. [1]
