Template talk:Drugbox-mab

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, resonable idea, but are formula, melting points etc relevant for a protein ? Would an optional parameter in Template:Drugbox (that is normally not specified but defaults to say "drug") that if set to "mab" turns off various parameters not be an alternative method of coding ? Otherwise it will be harder maintaining the 2 drug infoboxes. David Ruben Talk 20:38, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Without a doubt, a mab parameter to Drugbox would be more elegant, but it would be much harder to code. Also, melting points etc. are not displayed by default. -- Selket Talk 20:51, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
True melting point not shown if not specified, but what I meant to imply is need it appear at all in either the coding or the descrption of this template ?
As for optional coding for Drugbox, am I right in thinking that the only unique aspects of this template version are: [[Monoclonal_antibody#Applications|Therapeutic monoclonal antibody]] header link and Monoclonal antibody#Production/{source} and Antigen/{target} parameters, if so I think this would be easy to include/code over at Drugbox, and we would just need to decide which parameters are inappropriate for mabs (to then update the Drugbox instructions accordingly) David Ruben Talk 03:19, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
Be bold! Go for it. -- Selket Talk 07:24, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
