Drumnadrochit

Drumnadrochit (Ordnance Survey grid reference NH508293) is a village in the Inverness committee area of Highland, Scotland. It lies on the west shore of Loch Ness, at the head of Glenurquhart and on the A82 road, near a junction with the A831. The population of the village is between 2000 and 4000.

The village is popular with tourists. Attractions include several Loch Ness Monster exhibitions, and the nearby Urquhart Castle.

Recently the village has begun a winter event, Drums and Rockets http://www.drumsandrockets.co.uk/. In 2006 the village hall celebrated its centenary http://www.glenurquhart.info.
