Drew Abbott was the guitarist for Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band, after leaving Seger's band he formed a band called Blue Mountain Highway , later shortened to just Blue Highway. It is a four-piece that plays in Northern Michigan at a place called Mico's.

Drew Abbott appears on Bob Seger's Seven (1974),Beautiful Loser (1975),Live Bullet (1976), Night Moves (1976), Stranger in Town (1978), Nine Tonight (1981), and Against the Wind (1980).
