Dream of Life was the first album by Patti Smith after the dissolution the Patti Smith Group, released in 1988 (see 1988 in music).
"People Have the Power" received some album oriented rock airplay at the time, and later was revived by Bruce Springsteen as a theme song for the 2004 Vote for Change concerts.
