My apologies for the insult; at the time of writing I was reviewing the extra credit from General Biology, a group not noted for their exploratory thinking. Specifically, the oldest animal is the joshua pine (animal?) which was clearly supported by document in hand. Of course I have nothing but respect for my students and I am very aware of the strength of intellect in my advanced classes. What makes the class exciting to me is the willingness of the students to express their personal views and their willingness to challenge conventional thinking. I make no apologies however, for my sad attempts at humor. If nothing else, it keeps me entertained. I am troubled by your perception of my class in that the material is of my own fabrication or that I merely perpetuate bad information. I make a conscious effort to separate opinion from fact in my lectures and trust that my students can separate the two as well. I teach all my students with the same level of enthusiasm, whether they express love, hate, or indifference to what I have to offer; however, if you truly perceive the information as "lies", then why would you wish to continue in the course? --Random Replicator 14:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
