I was born in 1983 in rural Kentucky, USA. I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky with two degrees; a BA in Spanish and a BS in biology. I'm now involved in a five-year combined degree program, studying NGOs at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and medicine at the UK College of Medicine. I'm enthralled by the program to such an extent that I no longer have much time for Wikipedia.

I contribute as randomly as the next guy, but my personal areas of expertise are language, botany, medicine, history, and diplomacy. My very first edit was by IP in Wisteria, and since then I've become attached to several articles that can be found at my desk.

Not only does this enrich Wikipedia, it's also great practice for a gringo like me. If you're a fellow linguist seeking thrills, lend a hand at Wikipedia:Translation into English or
