[edit] fake order
These are totally bogus people with a totally bogus order. The Order of the Dragon of Annam was a French colonial order, "authorized" (as instructed) by King Dong Khanh, a total French puppet, and came to be seen as nothing but a merit badge for collaborators. King Bao Dai stopped using it and replaced it with the National Order of Vietnam. In any event, all orders of the old Vietnam passed to Bao Dai's heir (Bao Long) at his death, so Buu Chanh or any of his little buddies have no authority whatsoever to "restore" or distribute any Vietnamese orders. They are pretenders, nothing more.
[edit] You are mistaken
please see link: Royal Solution for a Nationalist Vietnam
Various Royal Families have seen the Royal Edict that Emperor Bao Dai established Prince Buu Phuc as Chairman of the Vietnamese Imperial Royal Family and that all family members must cooperate in order to organize and act unified manner. They have not questioned it and no Royal Family members has spoken out against Prince Buu Phuc. In February 2004, Prince Buu Phuc assigned Prince Buu Chanh as Regent of the Nguyen Dynasty as within his power from the Edict signed by Emperor Bao Dai.
The Dragon of Annam always vested within the Imperial Nguyen House and it never ceased when the monarchy was abolished. Various Royals around the world have been bestowed the Order of the Dragon of Annam, by Prince Buu Chanh as Regent of the Nguyen Dynasty. Jimmyvanthach 01:51, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] What is your problem?
This Buu Chanh pretender can give out whatever baubles he wishes, but pretending it is the same as an old French colonial order is shameful and dishonest.

[edit] no pretender
The Dragon of Annam is not a French order the dynastic order always vested with the Imperial Nguyen Dynasty.
Prince Buu Chanh is not a pretender is a a Nguyen Prince exiled from Vietnam, because of his political beliefs. He was given authority by Prince Nguyen Phuc Buu Phuc the Chairman of the Vientamese Imperial Family that was authorized by Emeperor Bao Dai in 1982 Edict.
Prince Buu Chanh is only acting in the capacity as the Regent, he is not claiming the throne of Vietnam, if the people of Vietnam chose to have a Consitutional Monarchy, the choice would be for the Crown Prince Bao Long to accept and lead his people for unity and also to unit all political parties.--Jimmyvanthach 14:02, 3 Nov 2004 (UTC)
