What is Blue Water?

Someone please fix this. The article refers to "Blue Water" without describing what that is.

Also, is there a source for Toriyama doing writing on DBGT?

Re: previous questions

"Blue Water" is a voice-acting group out of Canada, which apparently shares some (but not all) talent with Ocean Studios (the voice-acting group that dubbed the first two "seasons" of DBZ for FUNimation).

I've taken the Toriyama information directly from the first DBGT "Perfect File" book, along with comments from interviews given in the Daizenshuu books as well as a few more recent ones. (For ultra-recent, Toriyama wrote a message included with the DBGT DVD boxed set, saying that even though he wasn't that involved, he thought it was a neat little "sidestory" to the series. He also did a sketch of SSJ4 Goku, even though he didn't design it himself. Pretty neat, eh?) --Julian Grybowski 04:15, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

So Blue Water dubbed the Black Star Dragon Balls Saga, but FUNimation dubbed Bebi, Super 17 and Shadow Dragons? Jienum

Home Alone Popular in Japan?

In the second episode of GT, on Lost Episodes Vol. 1, the 2 thugs who kidnap Goku look exactly like Harry and Marv from Home Alone. Is there a reason for that? --Darnpenguin 00:22, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes. You see, DBGT was a bit comical at the start, so to make it funny, they made the kidnappers like the funniest pair of criminals in film history. I'm talking about the ones from the Black Star Dragonballs Saga. If those are the lost episodes, then there you have it.

Isnt there more to the story?

Could there be more reasons why DBGT was cancelled so early? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.105.57.26 (talk • contribs) .

The reason I've heard most often is that it wasn't that good and wasn't that popular. Also, Toriyama didn't have anything to do with it. --nihon 00:37, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

I don't think the Dragonball GT is actually canon to DB and DBZ as I've read in an article that really this is supposed to be an alternate ending to the DBZ universe. Officially the Dragon Ball series end with DBZ. So another company could actually create a series of dragonball, without ever mentioning GT.

Goku

I haven't seen Dragonball GT but played some of the saga on Budokai 3. What I would like to know is whether Goku is wished back to an adult after the Black Star Dragonball saga, or does his Super Saiyan 4 form make him like an adult?

Goku's Super Saiyan 4 form does temporarily turn him back into an adult when he's in it. However, he never permanently becomes an adult again. 4.227.2.104 23:22, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
So when he leaves the form of Super Saiyan 4, he turns back into a child?
Yes, dude.--suit-n-tie 23:04, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

There is more, just not coming out. and the dude who said that another anime series could be made by another company is exactly right, and already has been done. In 1998, there were movies in between the 100 years skipped that explained all of that, but was released straight to video, and Toei sold GT over to another company with toriyama's permission, it's out of his hands. There are also episodes and movies after that of episode #64, hundreds more, in fact, over a 500 episode count, they will be keeping that. This part of dbgt ended it's production in 2000, and then another series was made called z ultimate, and still being made.

It's as real as Toei's dbgt, but way better. Gotta look hard for these tapes man, underground man.

My friend got these, and after goku leaves, he doesn't stay ssj4 that long after he leaves and goes ssj5(what's the big deal, he turned ussj4 when he fought 1 star dragon blind, didn't ya'll see that coming, and the amount of time he spent fighting in ssj4 mode helped, basically in between the 100 years the earth was entrusted to the people goku left behind,(vegita, gohan, trunks, pan, uubu, etc) and they must rely on their own strength to protect the universe, not the dragonballs, and goku left to train, and yes saiyajin can breathe in space, even though there are the new namek ones, the earth ones are absorbed into goku, and the blackstar ones went with piccolo when he died because they were made when kami and piccolo were one, but he comes back in z ultimate and they do too.

sorry if this is too random, but i'm tired.

But still, I met more people other than my friend who has these, so what's the big deal.

Its all fake, dudes. ITS ALL FAKE. The GT movie you were referring to is that Goku Sidestory special, known in America as A Hero's Legacy. All of that is fake. GT is done, over, no more. GT was out of Toriyama's hands from the start, exept for some storyboards and character designs.--suit-n-tie 04:33, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

He naturally grows up again, which is why Pan (and the viewers) see him as an adult 100 years into the future. DBZ and the first ep of GT say Saiyans live longer, which is also why Pan can resonably be over 100 years old and only look 70. - 59.167.46.225 03:37, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Black Star Dragonballs

i've cleared it, but someone needs to edit the entire page of Dragonball GT and stuff relating to it. Someone is putting Dark Star Dragonballs when its really the Black Star Dragonballs. PLEASE EDIT THIS!!!

why

why are the dragonballs absorbed into goku's body??? someone please fix this i need to know...

Because the makers of GT wrote themselves into a corner. lol KojiDude 04:35, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

the dragonballs are absorbed into goku's body when he leaves with shenron because it was the only way the last wish could be performed without recreating the dark dragons. Jedi fox 05:10, 12 june 2006 (EST)

He is the chosen one, the one who defeated one star dragon, and as long as goku and the dragonballs are on earth, it draws danger to the planet. For safe keeping, and goku's positive energy will cleanse the dark energy when he comes back 100 years later. He can't grant wishes in dbgt though, but in z ultimate when he goes ssj8, he is able to, (ssj9 is the final form), for now, ssj4 is the final form for the public.

Wait, is that u goku9? This is charles, man didn't I tell u to stop going around telling people about the tapes I let you see. Daniel told me all about you going to websites doing this, and I told you the only reason I got the tapes is because the pandora's box store owner knows Akira Toriyama, and hooked me up with the tapes so it didn't come out over there, straight from project-x(bird studio), but he is only a consultant, and is all filler cuz it don't have a manga to it. I don't even care anymore because I stopped following it after the goku ssj9 vs. Super Juu battle, and that was last year. They still creating that stuff, and I still get the tapes shipped because I paid for the whole series. db, dbz, dbgt, and z ultimate. I do watch when I have the chance though, I am 21, I hardly have time for that anymore. They making money off of merchandizing right now so if those parts of the series does not do good when they plan to bring it out, it won't hurt them that much financially. Toei is trying to get consent from Toriyama to let fuji tv broadcast it, but he doesn't seem to be interested right now. I don't know why not, that will be his biggest career move ever, Neko Majin Z, Kajika, Sandland, Toccio the Angel, Cowa! are not that big, so he needs to do that. That stuff is non canon anyway, he needs to continue z, that is where they got z ultimate. He wanted to stop at freiza, but Toei pushed him. He was planning to do more db after z, but wanted to do other things, and if Toei didn't rush into making dbgt, z ultimate would be the name of the third series instead of the 4th. z indicated that the series would end soon, ultimate means final, last, and yes, z ultimate is the 4th final db series.

Also, well, that is all I feel like typing, and stop Goku9,damn.

There is no higher form than SSJ4, anything higher is fake and fan created with no credibility at all. Also, sign your posts. TJ Spyke 00:27, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Z Ultimate?, SS9?, Super Juu? What in the world is this guy taking about. TJ just put it in a nutshell that GT is the final Anime story for DB. and volume 49 for the manga. The other stuff is just fan based. Give an real look at this so call Z Ultimate then we will see. In many interviews of Toriyama, you are right that he wanted to stop at the end of Frieza's saga but was push not just by Toei but by the Japanese fans to continue but he truly stop the volumes at 49 for the DB manga. When GT stop it stop DB all together. So let us see or tell us where to see DBZU and then we will believe what we see. Other than that do not put a fabricated lie on the posts Heat P 22:10, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
