Dravidian University

The Dravidian University, Kuppam, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, India was founded on 20 October, 1997 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, with the initial support extended by the governments of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala for an integrated development of Dravidian languages.
Dravidologist V.I. Subramoniam was Pro-Chancellor 1997-2000, and P.V. Arunachalam was the first Vice-Chancellor 1997-2001).
