Dransfeld is a town in the district of Göttingen, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated approx. 12 km west of Göttingen.

Dransfeld is also the seat of the Samtgemeinde ("collective municipality") Dransfeld, which consists of the following municipalities:

  • Bühren
  • Dransfeld
  • Jühnde
  • Niemetal
  • Scheden
