Dragon Red is a Malaysian rock band.
Its current lineup is Manshaan Singh on drums, DJ Nas T on the decks and Natalie Tan on bass.
The band landed some high profile gigs like the the Asian X-Games tour. They also have played the ESPNSTAR KL XTOUR and the Peter Stuyvesant Breakaway party.
Slowly, the idea of releasing a single and at the end of 2003, they came together with Nick Lee (who at that time was an unknown producer in the local scene) of Sonique Production came out with their first single. The single was the songs Fade Away and a Malaysian track called Terpedaya on the B-Side.
They also made their own television debut with 8TV on their home-produced late night show Latte @ 8.
As of 2004, they performed their biggest gig in front of 20000 people at Stadium Merdeka as part of Rock The World 5.
In 2005 the band spent the majority of the year in the studio to focus on recording and finishing their first album.
It was in the first quarter of this year that the band was nominated for two awards, Best Rock and Best New Act in Hitz.FM’s MET 10 Awards.
