Dragon Weather is the first book of The Obsidian Chronicles, a trilogy by Lawrence Watt-Evans. It centers around a boy named Arlian and his quest for vengeance against the dragons that destroyed his hometown and killed his family, and against the man who sold him into slavery, the mysterious and ruthless Lord Dragon. His adventures lead him to the famed city of Manfort, down through the Desolation, over the Dreaming Mountains to Arithei, out of the safety of the Lands of Man, and back. Intrigue, magic, and swordplay plague his path...
