[edit] The New Dragon Gate Inn (1992)
The movie, starring Chinese actress Brigitte Lin, was the first in the line of a series of re-makes of the original 1966 film.
The New Dragon Inn is shot in standard wuxia fashion, a fast-paced supernatural action-thriller with Imperial China as a setting. Kungfu action, clever comedy, and drama ensues. Hailed as a movie greater than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon by Chinese audiences[citation needed], the movie is considered a staple classic.
