In the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, the dragon disciple is a prestige class found in the 3.5 edition Dungeon Master's Guide. A dragon disciple is someone with a dragon among her ancestors, who wishes to embrace her special heritage, gradually becoming a half-dragon. Becoming a dragon disciple requires the ability to cast arcane spells without preparation - like dragons do, - being fairly competent in matters of arcane lore and knowing the draconic language.

[edit] Class Features of the Dragon Disciple

A dragon disciple gains the biggest hit die available (d12), moderate Base Attack Bonus as well as good fortitude and will saving throws. She also gains a small allotment of arcane spell slots as part of the progression - so far, a unique ability. What's more, a dragon disciple obtains substantial ability boosts, natural weapons, a breath weapon, natural armor, blindsense and wings. At 10th level, she takes on the half-dragon template.
