Evil Warriors: Skeletor
Other Heroic Characters: Granamyr
[edit] Summary
Skeletor wants to turn the king into a statue with a cursed amulet. It strikes Man-at-Arms instead. He-Man and Teela go to Granamyr, the oldest and wisest dragon on Eternia, to find the cure. After some trouble with a few monsters, they reach his cave. He agrees to help them if they do something for him in return: chop down the Tree of Life, an ancient tree, and bring it to him. A manticore is guarding this tree. It is no match for He-Man though. The tree (who has a face and can talk) agrees to be chopped down to save Man-at-Arms' life. He-Man suddenly gets a concious thought: he cannot take a life to save one, and spares the tree. He returns and tells Granamyr of his failure, but the old dragon proclaims this was all just a test of He-Man's mercy and wisdom and that he has done well. The dragon provides them with a spell to save Duncan.
[edit] Notes
- This is Granamyr's only minicomic appearance. Though he's red in the TV series, in the comic he's green.
