Dr Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute is a public high school in Toronto, located in the north-west part of Scarborough. It was founded in 1979 and named after Norman Bethune. The school is attended by about 1100 students, most of whom speak a primary language other than english[2], which is the language of instruction at Dr Norman Bethune Collegiate Institute. The current principal at Bethune is Ms. Stella Dasko. There are two vice principals that are supporting her, Mr Humphrey and Mr Wilkinson. There are over 60 teachers in Dr Norman Bethune. There is a small group called the Student Leadership Council at Bethune. They are organizers and committed Reps. The current president of SAC is Bedour Alagraa. Bethune's colours are Gold, Green, and Red. Their teams are called the Bears. Bethune's motto is Debonnaire.

Bethune has a atmosphere of academic competitiveness and noticeably concentrates in fields of Math and Science.
