Dr. Jack Stewart was a character in the classic T.V. show, Diagnosis: Murder. He was played by Scott Baio.
Not much in known about Jack's past. The viewers pick up some small details, such as the fact he smoked and quit and he was a card-dealer for some high-stakes poker games. He gave up that life for medical school.
Dr. Mark Sloan guides him and helps him pay for medical school. Mark gives Jack a job at Community General Hospital. Throughout much of the first seasons, it is hinted that Jack and Amanda like each other, but it is never confirmed.
Jack moves away to Colorado to start a family practice at the end of season two. He is replaced by Dr. Jesse Travis, another resident at Community General.
