[edit] Down the Hatch
In this story, Spunky swallows a vitamin and Rocko tries to save him from exploding within nineteen minutes. Meanwhile, Bloaty and Squirmy think the vitamin is a valuable statue and fight over ownership but they find out the statue/vitamin is cursed when the rest of the parasites who eat bits of it explode.
[edit] Road Rash
In this story, Rocko and Heffer go on a road trip to see Flem Rock before it is bulldozed, making way for a Chokey Chicken parking lot, and experience problems along the way.
An entire scene has been cut from Road Rash; probably due to racial insensitivity to Asians and for a slight but obvious gay reference. In which , basically, Rocko and Heffer stop at a seedy motel advertising "hourly rates" and ask the oriental-horse desk clerk for a room.
The following is the Dialoge in this scene:
Desk Clerk: Sorry, we full-up. Won't have room for [He glances at his watch] another twenty minutes. You wait? [A buzzer gets his attention.] Oh, we have premature departure. You can have room now. How long you want? Rocko: Just 'til tomorrow. Desk Clerk: [Admiringly] All night? [whistles] Wheeeooo! Okay.
[edit] Trivia
- "Road Rash" is the first time that the name "Ferb" is used on Rocko's Modern Life. ("I remember takin' that road with my friend, Ferb.") The director Jeff "Swampy" Marsh used it many times in the series, and later used it in the title of his Disney series Phineas and Ferb.
- "Down the Hatch", one of the crazier episodes, was the brainchild of director Mr. Lawrence, storyboard artist Robert Scull and staff writer Martin Olson.
