Dowalaiswaram is a small village near by Rajahmundry it is at distance of 4 km from the city.

There is an Lord Janardhana Swamy temple located at the hill top. A huge number of pilgrims will take baths in the Godavari river during pushkaras. There is a Lord siva temple loacted near the hill. During the radhostva time people will come to see the temple.

Sir Arthur Cotton has built a dam on River Godavari at Dowalaiswaram. There is also a museum which displays the tools and photographs used during the construction. There is Sir Arthur Cotton statue in the village.
