[edit] Schools worst in the state

You asked for evidence that Balt. schools were the worst in the state. I know that Wiki is for people not just from Maryland, but everyone from Maryland knows and from all points of view that Balt. schools are the worst in the state. It is not controversial. But here are a few statistics (sources need a code, but give date of article).

the Maryland State Board of Education announced that Baltimore schools constitute 22 of the 24 schools in the entire state—the other 2 are in Prince George's County—that have repeatedly failed to make adequate progress on the annual standardized tests mandated by the federal No Child Left Behind Act and thus are required by the state to restructure for the coming school year [1].
state Board announced that it was subjecting 3 Baltimore Schools, the only ones in the state, to "zero-basing"—one of the most drastic reforms available to school districts
United States District Judge Marvin J. Garbis issued an order to cede authority for the city's special education services to the state as a failing program under No Child Left Behind Act procedures
State officials said nearly 99 percent of Baltimore's 10th-graders with disabilities failed the state reading test this year, calling Baltimore's special education program "a failure of extraordinary magnitude."[2]
After cataloging the city schools' continued failed leadership and performance, the federal judge issued an emergency Order, stating that the school system is a "massive failure" and that allowing the city schools to continue would be enabling management "to persist, for yet another year, in chaotic, unreliable, and wasteful 'remedial' exercises at the expense ... of the most at-risk children in the Baltimore City Public Schools." *[3]
In July 2005, the state Board of Education unanimously approved the the designation of six Baltimore middle schools as "persistently dangerous" schools and put another nine city high schools and middle schools on probation.[4] More than 4,500 students attended these schools. This was the first time such a designation has been made in the state. No schools in the state's 23 other school systems are on either list.

That looks like the perfect kind of evidence to go with the schools. Perhaps "schools, which had over 90% of the schools required by the state to restructure for the coming school year under no child left behind?" "Worst in the state," really needs to be "worst in the state according to (authority)." Same with "(among the worst in the nation)" - "among the worst in the nation according to (authority)."Hipocrite - «Talk» 04:09, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

Excuse me? I'm not trolling anywhere. The article currently has parenthetical statements in it - you won't find paranthetical statements in an encyclopedia. Do not pretend to be ignorant. You are on this article because you were trolling my edits. 2 can play that game and I can be just as disrespectful to your POV edits. You have done that on several articles today, some of them as a reactionary reverters jumping into a revert war. If you have any good intentional at all, feel free to edit parentheticals or improve on English, or, if you have any research or knowledge, the article itself.
